Kevin Oh
Director, Photographer
Kevin has an incredible eye. He came to directing through photography, and that foundation is everywhere in his work.
He’s also a sharp writer who loves getting into a script early, pulling apart what is and isn’t working, and finding the small details that make a scene believable. From casting and performance to wardrobe, production design, framing, and the smallest piece of business in a scene, Kevin is thinking about how it all comes together.
That attention to detail is what makes him such a strong world-builder. His films can be heightened, funny, stylish, sometimes a little strange, but they always feel lived in. The world is specific enough that the performances can relax inside it.
Working across photography and film, Kevin is particularly good at drawing performances from talent that feel true. And having worked in social from early in his career, he’s always shooting past the brief, looking for the smaller, looser moments that can take on a life of their own beyond the hero film.
His clients include Nike, Meta, Upwork, FIFA World Cup, Coca-Cola, Adidas, and PUMA.
Kevin brings together a photographer’s eye, a writer’s attention to detail, and a director’s feel for performance to create work that is both visually striking and completely lived in.
